Powered by Voltz! The crew have achieved a new record for crossing the Atlantic!!!!
Dear All
This will be the last update from Lancelot – as the team completed their epic voyage at 22:29hrs last night.
2 landmarks and major achievements for the team are as follows:
· The team have set a new record for the fastest Atlantic ARC crossing by a Beneteau 40.7 in history, beating the previous record that was set in 2006 [set by Lancelot by the way!] by an impressive 34 minutes. The new record is 15 days, 9 hours and 49 minutes, beating the old record of 15 days, 10 hours and 23 minutes.
· The team have achieved a very impressive 3rd place in Racing Division 2 and 4th place overall in all Racing Divisions. A podium finish for a group of inexperienced sailors with several technical problems is an incredible result! Well done Team Lancelot.

The team are all well. They were very tired last night and had an early night to get their first night of proper sleep in over 2 weeks. The official team celebration is apparently taking place tonight – so look out St Lucia!
Thank you all for following and supporting the Lancelot team and thank you to Lancelot’s sponsors for the ARC 2009 – Gleeds ( www.gleeds.co.uk ) and Voltz (http://www.voltzenergyshot.co.uk ).
This is Lancelot HQ signing off until ARC 2010!
Regards
Simon
