  2. Adele Hawkes says:

I think I should win tickets to Kitacon because conventions like Kitacon are close knit small venues where a lot more thought goes into the panels and events which in turn give a better insight into Japanese, Korean and Chinese culture than the bigger venues. Kitacon from what I hear is a convention that is trying to push through aspects of the Chinese and Korean mangas, animated and live action films it would be nice to experience a convention that isn’t so Japanese orientated and tries to include the art and culture of other nations in that part of the world.

  3. Lazarus says:

    Just because.

I think I should win tickets to Kitacon coz it would be my first time attending Kitacon.
I struggled to find anyone to attend with, and only once registration had closed did people actually start saying “I need people to go with”, which was a bit of a kick in the teeth for me.
Kitacon encapsulates everything culturally that is important to me and that makes me happy. I don’t have the big budget for attending many conventions, and as a student as well working part time with the little spare time I have, Kitacon would be a well-deserved and very welcome break for me, and it would be a chance for me to spend time with people important to me who I wouldn’t otherwise be able to see :)

RAWR, I think i should go because i’m a god damn madman, and i need this, last year i had so much fun at kitacon and made many many new friends who cured my terminal loneliness, sadly this year due to a prolonged werewolf hunting expedition in the antarctic (prolonged even further by volcanoes and snow and the occasional getting so wasted with the polar bears i missed my flight) i was unable to get back in time to register for kitacon, and y’know this made me somewhat sad, Kitacon needs me and my manliness, because honestly if kita was attacked by werewolves and i don’t mean that twilight kind, i mean the snatch you when your sleeping kind then who would defend everyone, honestly think of that situation, only my manliess will do , so yeah gimme ticket> gain werewolf protection> ???? > Profit

  6. Moogle says:

It will give me a fire inside. Will make me happy, passionate, full of life, love and energy.

  7. Drew "Tatsu-Chi" Duncan says:

last year i only got a days taster of Kita this year i want more, more chance to see new artists and writers on the anime/manga scene both from japan and further a field as theres some interesting stuff coming out of the likes of china and Korea events like the bring and buy are great because they give you a taste of which animes/mangas those attending are into if the cosplays they are wearing dont slap you in the face with a hint first (or a foam sword depending on how mischievous the cosplayer is feeling) theres always alot of colour and even more energy be it ddr..um.. er’s dancing themselves ragged or some crazy act on stage or the thrill of meeting the talent on the panels not to mention the goody bags , the stalls the bar and the general atmosphere all brought to you by one small piece of paper that i am currently lacking well thats the intro what else can be said..

Kita although being small compared to alot of cons out there is its own sight to be seen experience to be had (you may even level up by the end of it) last year at least what i saw of it was awesome and this year aims to be even bigger, bigger venue bigger um… stage?.. bigger stuffed toys even! and rumor has it a free cat girl for every attendee tho i have yet to fully confirm this… not to mention mech’s to build nerfguns to be shot (gophers to be shot at.. ahem .. psst.. you didnt hear that from me…) and more inner child on display than is probably healthy but its going to happen anyway.

all in all kita is something everyone should experience though dont forget im the one after the tickets here to be honest theres worse things than reading this i could bribe you with pocky until you say yes.. come on.. everyone loves pocky.. you know you want some.. see there you go nothing tastes better than pocky except free pocky (thats with or without the catgirl waitress at personal preference)

hmm.. i think ive said enough now… tho if you give me the tickets i’ll say a whole lot more when i get there..

    oh and one more thing….

    HAVE A STICK OF POCKY!!

  8. kushla p says:

    well, why not? ah, pocky….

  9. Yusuke says:

I think I should win as I risked my life to steal a vial of Charlie Sheen’s Tiger Blood. So now im Bi-Winning =^_^=

  10. Sharkz says:

Because this will be the first Kita I have missed and that’s only because I can’t afford it </3

  11. Beccy says:

    Because I love Kita <333

  12. Sanna J says:

I think i should win the tickets because come to kitacon even if it’s far away in another country (i travel from the land of the viking, Norway!) and i have to use most of my money just getting there…and when i get there i need to use the rest of my money on something i really want and/or need! this i see as a very nice opportunity to get a nice look in the dealers room and such before everyone else have the chance to snatch everything away!…like last year!
getting them would also make me a very happy norwegian, who is less likely to plunder and steal stuff~

  13. OHHAIGAIZ says:

I should win because I am amazing. On a serious note, I should win because I want to give the tickets to someone it would mean something to.

  14. Rohan 'Amuro' Hine says:

Why should I win, because well you always need more people to cheer the obscene things at the hentai panel dont you?

  15. Zelly says:

I’m Zelly and I am awesome!! That is the only reason required!!

Nah XD Seriously…Kitacon is one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It was the highlight of my year last year and will be the highlight of my year again this year. It’s the one place where I can truly be myself without having folk shouting abuse at me for looking a bit different.

I’ll be going with my boyfriend and this will be his first Kitacon. I would give my second ticket to him so he can have an even more epic Kitacon!

  16. Mr S Baker says:

    Hi
Well first off I would take 2 of my freinds.
I dress as Tron and Kickass.
I like having fun and partying. But most of all I like giving pocky/lolly pops out to deserving Cosplayes and people who take up the spirit of the con.
So in the spirit of the con if I dont get tickets it doesnt matter I will still be there win or lose. Its about having fun and not being to serious.
Everyone have a great time Ill see you there if I win or not win this.
(Please choose me I want to take my freinds :) )
    Thanks Steve

  17. Sam Halford says:

Oh oh, I have a sad story that shall puck your very heart strings.
I am a giant, and have suffered because of it. Last time I checked I was 6ft9in and get terrible back and leg pain. I become alienated from society. I love anime, manga. gaming and Japanese culture, I’m a proper geek =p. I really feel like I can fit in around other cons and geeks, we know what its like to be in a non-mainstream sub-culture. We can laugh and joke, watch random anime till 4 in the morning. That is why I should have these tickets =D. Also I’m a toaster rawr.

  18. I should win because we were somewhere around Birmingham on the edge of the midlands when the sugar began to take hold. I remember saying something like “I feel a little hyper; maybe you should film this…” And suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge stick insects…

We had two bags of Haribo, seventy-five pellets of Pro Plus, five sheets of high-powered sugar paper, a salt shaker half full of granulated sugar, and a whole galaxy of multi-coloured Relentless, Monster, Rockstar, Mountain Dew… And also a quart of Tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw Red Bull and two dozen Boosts.

All this had been rounded up the night before, in a frenzy of high-speed driver all over Dunfermline - from Inverkeithing to Wellwood, we picked up everything we could get our hands on. Not that we needed it all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious Convention collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

  19. Mark Ewbank says:

I should win Because I Am Not Bi-Polar…….I Am Bi-Winning.

  20. Badger Briggs says:

Cant wait for Kitacon, but if I could get two more tickets their are two people I’d love to take with me!

  21. Twice Pomegranate says:

I should win a ticket because this year, I intend to:
    - be marginally more sober than I was last year to enjoy the late-night entertainment (maybe with some help from a Voltz Energy Shot…),
    - saunter around the fabulous Hilton hotel dressed as a 19th century Lolita gentleman, (complete with top hat and monocle!),
    - well, FULLY intend to make this year’s Kitacon this best Kitacon - nay! - the best convention that 2011 has and will ever experience.

In fact, the only way to top this year’s convention will be to have next year’s convention on the Moon.

  22. Josh says:

I should win because I’ve been doing quite a bit of work to promote the awesomeness of Kitacon. However, I’m sure there are others who also really deserve to win so I just hope that it goes to someone who will appreciate it at least as much as I would. Kitacon FTW!
